LEA Inclusion Policy

An experienced specialist first performs an Inclusion HealthCheck on site at representative schools. Risk management issues as they relate to inclusion are quickly identified and prioritised for action.

Then, working hand in hand with your own staff, a proven LEA policy document is developed, training needs justified and specified, and systems put in place that people will use on a daily basis to maintain and develop a best-practice approach to the inclusion of students with special needs.

This detailed and specialised service requires three days at representative LEA schools, meetings with the LEA and two days of report and policy document development

High quality ongoing support is a hallmark of all Centaur services and products, therefore regular reviews and assistance are also available if required.

Inclusion HealthCheck

Centaur Training has more experience than any other moving & handling company in the UK in working with Special Schools, Mainstream Schools and on a Local Education Authority level. This experience in working with over 100 LEA's means that we are able not only to advise but to write or assist in writing your moving & handling policy.

The Inclusion HealthCheck comprises a thorough two-day visit by an experienced, knowledgeable specialist, followed by one day of report writing. The HealthCheck focuses specifically upon those risk and inclusion issues which do – or will - face the LEA. The confidential report identifies those areas requiring attention, specifies the action required and prioritises those steps.  Using the report and feedback, LEAs can then proceed to address their policy documents and risk assessment and risk management procedures as they relate to inclusion.
