| Risk Assessment Consultancy – “going well” Our senior training adviser (Janet Hunt) has had fantastic results from the Risk Assessments carried out, the most recent being at Mandeville School in Ealing. A brief description of the service is that Janet (who has more than 30 years experience working with children with |
profound learning difficulties) directly assesses a childs’ needs with regard to equipment, moving & handling techniques and enablement issues, after which we provide a very comprehensive ‘Individual Pupil Assessment’ to the school. Christine Marks, Head Teacher commented “Janet has just spent 4 successful days with us, she was extremely helpful, informative and pragmatic” |
| New Training Adviser We are pleased to announce a new addition to our training staff in the form of Pam Sherliker. Pam comes to us with a distinguished background having been the Manual Handling Co Ordinator for a prominent NHS Trust in the |
North West. A former Chairperson of the North West National Back Exchange, Pam is well known and highly regarded in her field. Working closely with our senior training adviser Janet Hunt, Pam’s experience and background should prove useful for future course development. |
| Theatre Courses go from strength to strength On the back of our previous ‘Perioperative Manual Handling & Patient Positioning’ courses held last year we returned to the Hereford site to deliver another 3 day programme. The course |
was held over the weekend of 8th – 10th February 2008 and early indications show that this was a well received and most enjoyable event. More information can be found directly by clicking here. Due to the continued popularity of the course we may well inform you of future programmes via ‘Back Issues’ |
